As someone who wasn’t a massive fan of the first Ocean’s trilogy I feel safe in saying that I wasn’t going into this one with great expectations. Whilst this film didn’t soar past my expectations, I certainly enjoyed more than I did the original trilogy.

There’s certainly no doubting the ability of the cast at hand. Even outriders such as Rihanna have a solid showing in this movie, with no one really under-delivering. But equally only Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter deliver in any meaningful way. Even the supposed star of the movie, Sandra Bullock, feels as though she’s reigning in her performance at times, with only brief glimpses of the really strong performances we know she can give gleaming through.

Review: Solo A Star Wars Story

Well… it was better than The Last Jedi.

Considering the backstage politics and troubles that LucasFilm had to maneuver to get this film into cinemas I’m actually impressed that it didn’t totally stink. With that being said I won’t be clamoring to see this movie a second time at the cinema and I won’t be hot on the heels of a blu-ray copy when it finally comes out.

Kick-Ass Reboot and Kingsman Universe Confirmed

Thanks to an exclusive report by Empire Magazine it has been confirmed that lauded director and film-maker Matthew Vaughn will be turning production company Marv into Marv Studios.

Speaking to Empire, Vaughn confirmed that the studio would focus on rebooting the much-loved Kick-Ass franchise. Saying: “We’re going to reboot Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl…Look what Mark Millar is doing with the comic for clues.”
