Following his feud with Brock Lesnar in 2016/17 Goldberg has been announced as the headline act for WWE’s 2018 class of the Hall of Fame.
The news was broken by ESPN and later confirmed by the WWE themselves via their Twitter page.
Goldberg is so far the only member of the class of 2018 to be announced, with other rumoured names such as Batista and The Undertaker also being floated among fans.
It will be satisfying for Goldberg to enter the Hall of Fame this year coming off the back of a very well received match against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship last year. Compared with the way he departed the company last time, following a very poorly received match with the same opponent.
Triple H has been quoted as saying on the matter: “Goldberg’s unique athleticism, persona and intensity captured the imagination of sports entertainment fans around the world throughout his illustrious career. We are honoured to have Goldberg take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.”
